Lesson 1: Why safety culture matters
Every shift at Northwind Logistics starts with one shared assumption: everyone goes home in the same condition they arrived. This course gives you the habits that make that assumption true.
What you will learn
- How to recognise the six hazard groups that cause 90% of warehouse injuries.
- The personal protective equipment required in each zone and how to inspect it.
- Safe manual handling, pedestrian and forklift rules, chemical labelling and emergency procedures.
- How to report a near miss in under two minutes.
Why it mattersLast year our Rotterdam and Austin sites recorded 41 near misses and 7 lost-time injuries. Every one of them was preventable with the practices covered here.
How the course works
- Work through the four modules in order. Each lesson takes 8 to 12 minutes.
- Pass the knowledge check at the end with a score of 80% or higher.
- Your certificate is valid for 12 months and is logged in the Northwind Learning Hub.
